Internal Family Systems (IFS)
Internal Family Systems, also known as "parts work" is a modality that helps to explore conflicting parts of yourself and heal core wounds. Edie Henthorne, LISW has the skills to assist individuals in accessing curiosity, courage, and self-compassion as they get to know all parts of themselves and learn they are capable of witnessing and healing core wounds.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-E)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) allows individuals to become aware of how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are impacted by core beliefs. Edie Henthorne, LISW helps clients become aware and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns or behaviors and learn how to change their negative core beliefs they may have about themselves, other people, and the world. In addition, Edie Henthorne, LISW has training in Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-E) which applies CBT principles towards helping individuals recovering from an Eating Disorder.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) helps individuals who struggle with intense emotions and relationship issues. Edie Henthorne, LISW knows how to teach DBT coping skills (Interpersonal Effectiveness Skills, Emotion Regulation Skills, Mindfulness Skills, and Distress Tolerance Skills) and how to help clients implement DBT skills and concepts to improve emotional stability and strengthen relationships.
My Approach
Edie Henthorne, LISW uses evidence based therapeutic interventions including Internal Family Systems (IFS) or “parts work”, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-E), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to assist in processing emotions, challenging thinking patterns, utilizing coping skills, and learning to connect and trust your authentic self. Her nonjudgemental, supportive approach allows individuals to access curiosity, courage, and self-compassion for all parts of themselves and learn to heal and accepts parts of themselves holding onto core wounds or negative beliefs.

In the first session, Edie Henthorne, LISW spends time getting to know you through a diagnostic evaluation. She collaborates with you in identifying your personal goals and explores how therapy can help you. She provides psychoeducation on IFS, CBT, CBT-E, and DBT and helps determine which interventions are right for you.
