About Me

Edie Henthorne, LISW

Edie Henthorne, LISW was born and raised in Akron, OH area. She has lived and worked all of her life in Northeastern Ohio. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Business Administration from Ashland University in 2015. She received her Master of Science in Social Administration (MSSA) degree from Case Western Reserve University in 2018. She worked in substance abuse and community mental health settings in Richland County, Cuyahoga County, and Lorain County. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, she has been providing Telehealth services to individuals across Ohio. She is currently working at The Emily Program, clinic for eating disorders, providing therapeutic services. She has enjoyed being able to provide virtual individual therapy services to adults across Ohio and serve those with mental health disorders, eating disorders, and substance use disorders.

After I reach out to Edie Henthorne Services, what's next?

  • Once Edie Henthorne, LISW has contact information (Name, Phone Number, Email), she will contact you directly for a 10 -15 minute consultation call.

  • After you decide to pursue therapy services with Edie Henthorne, LISW, she will collect personal information from you to create a medical chart, receive a copy of your insurance card, and schedule for your initial appointment. She will send you an email with an invitation to Simple Practice - Client Portal (secure website), which will prompt you to complete and review intake paperwork, consent forms, policies, mental health screenings, etc. It is expected that all information asked in the portal be completed before initial appointment begins. If this is not completed before the initial appointment time, you will be asked to complete it before the first appointment begins. If you have any questions about this process, please ask!

How do I join our therapy sessions?

  • You will be sent an email with an invitation link to the appointment. Just click on the link! You can open the link with your internet browser or by downloading the Simple Practice app.
